DIGITAL HUMANITIES

Hello everyone!! after being a while without making any entries on my blog, today I'm back! And I will do it by defining the subject in which I am working on my school. You will say that it is a rare way to launch the blog again but it's interesting to know that truly there is no specific definition for the digital humanities, although wikipedia's one is very complet and understanding, there's lots of definitions but which one is the correct?

So, I'm going to make my own definition compiling all the definitions I found on internet. But first I'm going to give some examples that are on the net:

Home of the Human Experience: [1] "The digital humanities at Stanford sit at the crossroads of computer science and the humanities. Since the 1980’s, a wide range of computational tools have enabled humanities scholars to conduct research at a scale once thought impossible."
Wikipedia: [2] "Digital humanities (DH) is an area of scholarly activity at the intersection of computing or digital technologies and the disciplines of the humanities. It can be defined as new ways of doing scholarship that involve collaborative, transdisciplinary, and computationally engaged research, teaching, and publishing."
Oxford dictionary: [3] "(treated as singular or plural) An academic field concerned with the application of computational tools and methods to traditional humanities disciplines such as literature, history, and philosophy."

My definition: Is an area usually worked on schools, in which the humanities and computers are involved in researching, creating or teaching any subject.
